2009 Novice Horse Classes ~ $100, $500, $1,000 A novice horse is determined by the amount of money that the horse has won in it's lifetime. So if you plan on nominating a horse in the Novice classes, make sure you are aware of the horses lifetime earnings.  You are responsible for keeping up with all your horses yearly earnings if nominating in this class and these earnings must be reported each time you enter a novice class.                When entering a Novice class, you MUST put down the amount your horse has won on each entry

  • **ALL NOVICE HORSES WILL RUN IN THEIR OWN CLASS AT 3P.M.  The OPEN 4D will start immediately after the Novice Horse Class and a drag.  Novice horses may roll to the Open. If you arrive after the Novice Class is finished, you may not run for a Novice Time in the Open, so please be there for the start of the Novice Class.  Please refer to rule book
  • ****Both PEE WEE BARREL Classes and YOUTH 4-D BARRELS-Age as of January 1, 2010—A copy of birth certificate MUST BE PROVIDED AT THE START OF EACH YEAR-previous copies are filed and stored!
  • Unassisted Pee Wee Class is now a 3D race with 1 Second splits and equal payout.  Money cap of $250 to enter class.  Points will be figured on a 6 point system (see 2010 Rule Book).
  • Youth will be eligible to qualify for Year End Open Saddles if they meet all requirements (membership, nomination, etc.) (**The motion that was voted on to prevent the Youth from winning more than one saddle was not on the agenda prior to the 2009 General Membership meeting, so technically had to be stricken and was done so by the Board of Directors)
  • All entries must be paid for at time of entry, no IOU’s.  If you sign someone up, then you must pay their entry fee at time of entry.  All Pre Entries must be paid for before rider runs!

·        ****Members please provide a copy of CURRENT COGGINS on each horse and we will keep it on file. NEW COPIES MUST BE PROVIDED AT THE START OF EACH YEAR! Previous copies are filed and stored! If you don’t provide a copy, you must write your Coggins number on each entry form at every race and we must see your papers!  So save yourself some time and provide a copy. We will contact you when we need an updated one. Non-Members must present Coggins at each race and place on entry form! We will not keep Non Member copies on file!

 

 Nomination Fee:  To keep points for year end awards, a fee of $10 is required for each horse/rider combination per event.
