June 2008
Greetings to Everyone, Hope where ever you reside your getting some rain, as we desperately need the moisture. Sure makes our practice pens dry and hard from being baked, not to mention dusty.
We, the board want to thank everyone that attended the Cash in the Dome, we feel like it was a great success, and my, that air condition facility felt well. I’m sure no one knew how much, Charlie, Troy and Mark fretted over the ground conditions, but if you had seen the ground Saturday, while we were in the small arena, the Dome was like concrete, that just show you what a conscientious diligent group we have as part of this wonderful organization, because the ground was excellent both days at both places.
As we always try and keep our races on time, we sometimes get snooker doodled by the facility we rent from and we really appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to provide the safe arena conditions. I personally apologize for the inconviences of the parking lot on Saturday and Sunday, but we have no control over some situations.
We are at our break for the summer and have scheduled a fund raiser in Robinson on the 18th of July, which is a Friday night. So please put that outdoor pen on your schedule and remember no points, no attendance records, but we will have some drawings and lots of fun. Look for the flyer information on our web site.
Lynn, bless her heart has taken the challenge of auditing the points, I know there has been offers of help, but it is difficult to spread it out because of the nomination forms, entry forms and all of the pertinent information is better left in one place. The revised points will be on the web site this week, and she tells me that if anyone has a question feel free to call her or email and she will go over them with you.
We are on track with all of our awards and the buckles are done and the saddles are tooled and ready to put together, kudos, to Jamie and Laurie for working dilligently on those awards.
I am working on the 2009 schedule and hopefully will get dates finalized this week also.
Don’t forget to start thinking of your suggestions for the 2009 year.
Congratulations to all the competitors, in our books you’re all winners. God Bless each and everyone. As Always Standing in His Presence, Jo Alexander
